Pantone has announced 'Classic Blue' or 'Pantone 19-4052' as their colour of the year for 2020.

Each year, designers anticipate this announcement as Pantone base their selection on “what is taking place in our global culture” and it’s what they predict will send shockwaves through the design world. As such, expect to see Classic Blue popping up more often in the near future.

Described as bringing a “reassuring presence instilling calm, confidence and connection". Classic blue is a dependable hue in the home. It’s non-aggressive and easily relatable, allowing it to work in any interior.

“[Classic Blue] brings a sense of peace and tranquillity to the human spirit, offering refuge," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, “challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication” she added.
