UK golfer Paul Broadhurst is to host this year's GIMA golf day, joining players on the course and acting as compere for the prize giving and auction in the evening.
Paul Broadhurst enjoyed an illustrious career after joining the European Tour in 1989, being the leading amateur at the 1988 Open Championship. An eloquent golf and sports speaker, Broadhurst experienced a fine run of form, which saw him break into the World's top 50 golfers during 2006..
He has amassed eight professional wins throughout his career, including the 2006 Portuguese Open and the more recent Cornish Festival (PGA South West Tournament) this year.
The event will take place on Thursday, June 4 at Telford Hotel and Golf Resort, with proceeds to be split between Greenfingers - a small national charity dedicated to creating magical gardens in for children in hospices - and Myeloma UK, the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma, a bone marrow cancer for which there is no cure.
