A generous manufacturing firm's owner has offered employees of Plasplugs the chance of getting straight back to work.
While the future of Plasplugs remains unclear with its offices closed and no one answering phones, it might be looking up for the workers.
Owner of 365Drills, Richard Hazell, contacted diyweek.net to say his firm is expanding and he was on the look out for more staff.
He said: "We've just had a full page advert in the Sun newspaper and we're getting a lot of calls from interested people.
"Plasplugs' marketplace is the exact market for us and we need the skills these people have and can offer them an immediate start.
"We are looking to the large DIY chains to place our product and although this is a tragedy for Plasplugs, I believe we can offer positive help for employees."
The firm make the Porsadrill which features a non-slip drill plate rather than expensive carbide pilot arbours and a diamond drill bit to cut through porcelain and other hard materials.
