Plum Products has announced the appointment of a brand new managing director - Peter Balcombe.
The current md, and joint owner of the company, Jonathan Schaffer becomes chairman after 20 years at the helm.

Having originally started the company from his bedroom, Mr Schaffer said "I know that now is absolutely the right time for us to take on a professional managing director to lead Plum onwards and upwards from here."

Mr Balcombe joins from tableware manufacturer Oneida International where he was md. He said of his appointment that he was "very excited by the opportunities at Plum" and would be working closely with Mr Schaffer who will now concentrate on acquisitions and development opportunities both domestically and abroad.
