Police endorse No More Nails Strips for deterring number plate thieves

Published: 10 May 2007
Henkel has found an unexpected market for its UniBond No More Nails Strips – as a preventative measure against car number plate theft.
With an estimated 33,000 vehicle number plates stolen a year, the Crime Prevention Office in Havering Police, London has discovered that the super-strong double-sided tape makes it virtually impossible to remove a number plate without snapping it first.

The result, for the thief, is a useless number plate that cannot be sold on to avoid paying for fuel or dodge speed cameras, congestion charges or traffic wardens.
