When the clocks go forward, thefts from gardens and outbuildings rise by 25%, giving retailers the perfect opportunity to promote outdoor security products such as padlocks, says Yale.
The company has a padlock to suit every purpose, from general usage products with a strength guide of 1-3 for toolboxes and lockers, to weather-proof heavy-duty padlocks with a 4-6 strength guide and extreme condition padlocks with a 7-10 rating.
Yale's padlocks are now reduced in price by up to 20%, giving retailers even more reason to stock a wide range for customers to choose from.
And for added up-sell opportunities, retailers should consider stocking anchors and cables, says Yale, which can be looped through bike wheels or lawnmower handles to provide an extra level of protection if an intruder does manage to gain entry.
