Purmo director retires after 22 years

Norman Bustin steps down as sales and marketing director for Purmo UK and will be succeeded by Kevin Gunn.
Mr Bustin has retired from his position as sales and marketing director at Purmo UK after more than two decades with the radiator manufacturer.
He joined the then Rettig Heating in 1986, becoming the European radiator giant's first-ever English employee.
In the following 22 years Mr Bustin progressed through the company; presiding over both the launch of the celebrated Compact radiator and the smooth transition from Rettig to the Purmo name.
He is succeeded by Kevin Gunn, who steps up from the post of northern sales manager.
Mr Bustin said: "It is gratifying to leave the Purmo brand in such good shape as a well respected and trusted name in the industry, although I will miss the camaraderie of colleagues and our merchant clients."
He plans to use his new-found freedom to indulge his lifelong passion for photography.
Mr Gunn joined Purmo as Area Sales Manager in 1996, having previously spent time at Stelrad and Myson. He said of his new position: "It's an exciting challenge, taking over the reigns in such uncertain economic times.
"Thanks largely to a great relationship with our merchants and installers, which has helped us to develop products that the market really wants, I'm inheriting a strong brand which is well placed to weather the current climate. I'm looking forward to taking Purmo into its next phase of development."
Michael Prothero, formerly Southern Sales Manager, now assumes the role of National Sales Manager for Purmo UK.
