Thingmebobs was acquired by QD in January 2013 and now the value retail store operator has opened its first store under the brand in Swaffham, Norfolk.
The new Thingmebobs store opened last week after a month-long refurbishment.
Seven staff will work at the branch on the High Street and some of those employed are ex-employees of former tenant Stead & Simpson.
According to operations director David Haycox the store has already seen a period of brisk trading.
He added: "Customer members into this site has been above average with very positive feedback particularly relating to value for money, range, and location.
"It is clear that consumer demand for a highly varied product offer at low cost and available on town centre high streets remains strong in market towns and we welcome the opportunity to take on more units like Swaffham from landlords with currently unoccupied retail space."
Discount retailer Thingmebobs is a 11-strong chain in East Anglia, selling everything from grocery items to garden products at heavily discounted prices.
It was bought by QD Commercial Holdings last year for an undisclosed sum.
Norwich-based QD operates 49 sites under its QD Stores, Cherry Lane Garden Centres, Thingmebobs and Lathams store brands.
In May
QD stores unveiled its new transactional website, which proved a real step forward for the value retailer.
