QEP acquires Nupla

QEP has just announced the completion of two new acquisitions - Nupla Corporation and HISCO, operating collectively as Nupla.
The deal was made as part of the company strategy of growing sales outside of QEP's traditional distribution channel. Manufacturer and distributer of professional grade, fiberglass-handled industrial grade hand tools, Nupla operates out of two facilities totaling around 80,000 sq ft in the USA.
QEP also acquired the assets of a prime US supplier, which is a manufacturer of injection moulded products including trowels, spacers and other products previously supplied to QEP companies worldwide. This new manufacturing capability will provide new market opportunities for QEP in the UK under the Vitrex brand of flooring and tiling accessories.
QEP's ceo of European operations Paul Boyce said: "Both of these acquisitions follow the path of the QEP strategy to extend our reach into new markets. With Nupla's strong presence in the industrial tools markets, it opens a whole new world of opportunities.
"Additionally by adding to our already existing capabilities of being a prime manufacturer of key components to our core tiling and flooring markets, it strengthens our commitment and ability to continue to be a "one-stop" supplier to our UK customers."
