QVC raises more than £500k for charity in just three hours

Published: 14 October 2011
Shopping channel's 'Be Aware, Show You Care' broadcast saw funds roll in for charity partner Breast Cancer Care on Wednesday.
The amount raised was around 15% more than the previous year's total, as QVC vendors, including Kelly Hoppen Home Design and fashion accessory brand Kipling, donated products to be sold off at special prices, with all proceeds going to the charity.

QVC chief executive Dermot Boyd said: "We cannot thank our customers and staff enough for their donations and time for our Be Aware, Show You Care programme. Raising over £500,000 in three hours for Breast Cancer care is an amazing achievement, particularly in these difficult economic times."

QVC has raised more than £4m for Breast Cancer Care during its 12-year partnership with the charity.
