The online and TV shopping channel has extended it reach with the updated app, which allows customers to shop more than 15,000 QVC products using their mobile phone.
Customers can use the 'Buy Now' function to place an order using their existing account number and pin number, whilst new customers can use 'Call to Order' to contact QVC's customer care team.

The homepage features daily special offers, as well as the current item being aired on the TV and the last 25 on-air items. Detailed product information is available, alongside ratings & reviews and zoom-able product images.

Commenting on the launch, QVC director of interactive commerce Gina Deeble said: "We are always looking at ways to make shopping with us easier and our updated iPhone app gives customers on-the-go a wonderful browsing and ordering experience. We're confident customers will love the app as they can browse through our entire range of items in stock, whilst the featured content highlights our daily broadcast promotions, in case they can't get to a TV. Being available online, on TV, on mobile and on iPhones makes QVC the destination for convenience shopping."

A number of leading retailers, including Marks and Spencer, Next and Argos, now offer dedicated mobile phone apps, allowing shoppers to browse and buy from their product range.

Argos launched its mobile phone app last spring, following a traffic increase of more than 600% from mobile Apple devices to Argos.co.uk in the previous year.

Marks and Spencer was the first high street retailer to launch a site specifically designed for mobile phones and mobile devices in May last year. The newly-created m.marksandspencer.com was designed to work in sync with its existing transactional website, so that customers are able to log in to and manage their regular web-account from their mobile phone.
