Rayware donation boosts Rainy Day Trust

Published: 12 August 2013
DIY and housewares industry charity The Rainy Day Trust has received what it calls "a significantly large donation" from homewares supplier Rayware.
The company's chairman, Ray Endfield, commented: " We're delighted to support The Rainy Day Trust as it's the only charity which exists solely to help people who have worked in the UK's pottery and glass, general housewares, DIY and home enhancement industry, including cookshops, department stores, multiples, garden centres and hardware stores as well as UK manufacturers and distributors. As such, it's close to our hearts and a very worthwhile cause."

Rayware, whose donation to RDT follows many years of support for industry charitable causes, owns the Mason Cash, Kilner, Typhoon, Rayware, Ravenhead, Dema, Arthur Wood and Price & Kensington brands.

Speaking on behalf of RDT, Neville Singer professed himself "absolutely thrilled and completely bowled over by such a generous gift. This is great news for all our beneficiaries in the industry."
