Home Hardware Scotland has reported a record month for April, with turnover up by 12.3%.
The year-to-date figure is also up by 3.1%. Highlights include garden machinery sales, which have seen a record year to date and wood treatment sales, up by 55%.
General manager Chris McEwan attributed some of the increase to the good weather and extra Bank Holidays, coinciding with the Home Hardware Spring brochure, which he said was "highly-successful".
Home Hardware now has 59 members' shops throughout Scotland and the north of England. The most recent additions are Stoddarts Hardware, Johnstone, Amble Hardware in Northumberland and Cowans Hardware who has brought over Woodside Home Hardware in Dalry.
