The British Retail Consortium Training Academy is to launch a new retail managers' development programme this September.
It will cover topics such as organisational culture, behavioural preferences and the behaviour of others, with a strong emphasis on experimental learning and behavioural change.
The programme will be delivered over a period of a year and is divided into three three-day modules. They contain exercises and simulations that will help delegates practise their new skills and they will be encouraged to share their experiences with colleagues.
A survey of the BRC's retail members carried out by the academy revealed that many think there is a real need for the provision of development and training for store managers and supervisors.
Further details of the programme can be found on the Retail pages of the BRC Academy website,
