Garden centre puts up £1,000 for information leading to the recovery of stolen trees and shrubs worth £4,000.
It is not the first time the Suffolk-based garden centre has been targeted and proprietor Richard Pooley thinks the stock was stolen to order for use on landscaping projects.
Thieves are believed to have taken between 200 and 300 containers of plants, including Acers, olive trees, bay trees, pyramid box trees and tree ferns, as well as a trailer worth 1,000.
The raid took place sometime between the night of Friday, June 5 and early morning on Saturday, June 6. It is understood the thieves gained access to Bentley Plant Centre by cutting through an outer fence, before scaling a 3ft drainage ditch and inside fence.
Unfortunately the plants that were stolen were uninsured due to costly premiums.
Mr Pooley is offering a £1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves. He also hopes to recover some of the stolen stock.
