UK sales for robotic lawnmower manufacturer Robomow soared like-for-like by 136% between March and May 2014.
The robotic lawnmower's UK distributor Mower Magic said that May was the best month for sales as they increased like-for-like by 189%.

The best-selling model during May was the RC304, designed for lawns up to 400sq m.

Md of Mower Magic, John Hall, said: "As a Robomow distributor, we have had our best ever UK sales.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have had such a successful start to this year, we have doubled our sales this year against 2013 figures which is a fantastic achievement.

"These past three months have indicated to us that the UK is embracing the Robomow range and these machines really are the future of lawn care."

Something which Mower Magic believes helped to boost UK sales was the new Robomow App feature, which guides new Robomow users through initial installation and setup and then provides access to the entire mower's interface on one screen.

The app also enables users to check battery life and drive the mower by remote control.

Earlier in the year Bosch's Indego Robotic Lawnmower was awarded Gold in the Garden Tool of the Year category at the DIY Week Awards 2014.
