Knutsford is being targeted by a gang trying to sell bogus kitchenware direct to consumers.
Rogue trader gang targets consumers with cookware
Residents in the Cheshire town have been visited by the rogue traders, who arrive with a selection of cookware and cutlery. They tell the consumers they have been to an exhibition in Birmingham and are now trying to dispose of the rest of their products.

The products are reported to be well packed and branded St Moritz. Residents are told they are made in Switzerland though in fact come from China and are being offered at inflated prices.

The gang offers householders the facility to pay by credit card, and some of those targeted are said to have paid up to £1,500 on the doorstep.

Residents who are visited by the traders are advised to contact the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 08454 040506.
