Rosebys to close 70 stores

Home furnishing retailer may close up to 70 stores in the next two weeks after the company entered administration last Friday.
The chain has already closed 11 stores, with a loss of 60 jobs, as well as making 32 redundancies at its head office.
Administrators KPMG are still seeking a buyer for the business and, earlier this week, had received 45 expressions of interest. However, said administrator Howard Smith " a deliverable deal has not yet proved possible."
In light of this, he added that, "closing some of the poorer performing outlets has been unavoidable to ensure trading remains at profitable levels."
