The popular TV presenter and game show host, Roy Walker will provide entertainment at this year's Garden Industry Manufacturers Association (GIMA) Awards held later this month.
Mr Walker, best known for popular quiz show Catchphrase, will preside over the gala awards ceremony, which, says GIMA, is set for success following an impressive number of entries this year.
Numbers are actually up on the 2007 event, according to director Neil Gow. He commented: "Given the general economic climate and tough trading conditions, we had budgeted for a drop in the number of entries this year. However, the resilience and forward thinking of our industry never ceases to surprise and entries are looking great."
He added: "We are particularly pleased to see a number of companies who have never entered before taking part."
New classifications of categories are though to be responsible for generating additional interest and the association has seen a good spread of entries across the board.
The awards Gala Dinner and presentation evening will take place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on July 17. Places are still available for dinner and overnight acomodation.
