Commenting on the judging, Ian Boardman said that it was a fascinating project to carry out and he has some amazing examples of the best plant areas in the country in their full autumn colour to show audiences at the GCA Conference in January.
The winners in the two category bands will be announced at the Conference and Mr Boardman Ian will give a detailed presentation on why they won.
One of the regional winners, Stratford Garden Centre, explained why the award is so important to them. "Plants are at the very core of our business and this competition is about the whole plant experience from the moment customers arrive on the car park, throughout the garden centre and in all of the outdoor plant displays. The competition is tightly contested and we we're judged against our peers by industry experts. This is the first year that we've entered so to be named the Midlands winner is incredible. It's given the whole team a real buzz."
