Rescue centre helps visitors learn more about furred and feathered friends.
Sanders Garden World is inviting people from Somerset to come and meet a variety of animals at a special Fur and Feather Day this month.
Maria Fountain, who works at the Secret World animal rescue centre in East Huntspill, will host the free event at Sanders Pet and Aquatic Centre in Brent Knoll on Saturday, April 26 from 10.30am until 4pm.
Garden centre general manager, Peter Burks said: "During the Fur and Feather Day, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about various furry and feathery friends. They will also get the chance to get close to some birds of prey including a kestrel."
Secret World has been chosen as one of Sanders Garden World's Pet and Aquatic Centre's charities of the year for 2008.
The centre focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and eventual release of orphaned and injured wild creatures. Its mission is to return all animals to the wild.
