Jan Maggs joins the board of directors at Screwfix as new human resources director.
Ms Maggs, who joined Screwfix three years ago as the head of human resources will now take up a position on the board as human resources director.

In her new role she will lead the company's people strategies for its 5,000 employees, where she will be responsible for initiatives such as retail training and development, employee engagement and succession planning.

Speaking about her new role, Ms Maggs said: "I am very excited to be working as part of the Screwfix board and helping to share the company's growth. My aim is to provide the best opportunity for all Screwfix's employees and to maximise their talent and contribution to the business. This will come through greater employee engagement which will in turn provide real long-term benefits for our employees and customers."

Ms Maggs has more than 10 years experience in HR.
