Screwfix is one of five retailers shortlisted to receive a 2015 Which? Award.
Now in its ninth year, the Which? Awards celebrate brands that put their customers at the heart of their business. Awards go to companies across a wide range of industries - from car manufacturers and supermarkets to banks and home appliance brands.

This year's finalists in the Best Retailer category are Screwfix, John Lewis, Lush, Richer Sounds and Wex Photographic.

Which? says that more than half of people (53%) say brands can play a role in improving their quality of life and wellbeing. And it has found that people are twice as likely to choose brands they trust.

"This year's shortlist reflects those businesses that strive to meet consumers' expectations and work hard to be the brands that make a difference to peoples' lives," states Which?

The Which? Awards are completely independent and a company cannot nominate itself. The choice of shortlist is based on research, testing, Which? endorsements like Best Buy and Recommended Provider and feedback from Which? members and the public throughout the year.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony held on Wednesday June 17.
