Kingfisher retailer Screwfix has been named as number nine in the top 50 best businesses to work for 2017 based on employee review.
Careers website Glassdoor published the results, which saw John Lewis rank 33rd and Sainsbury's in at 45.
Employees gave reviews based on a 12-month time frame, with their opinions gauged on the best reasons to work for their company, the downsides and any advice they would like to provide to management.
Glassdoor's head of international Diarmuid Russell explained, " Company culture and the employee experience are critical considerations for jobseekers everywhere when deciding where to work.
"The Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards are solely determined by the authentic voice of those who really know a company best - the people who work there. Employers where employees love to work continue to prove that they have a recruiting and business performance edge."
Employees also rate their employer overal, their CEO, and five key workplace attributes that made up career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, senior management and work-life balance.
Other top scoring firms were ARM Holdings (2), HomeServe UK (3), Unilever (7), Salesforce (8), Google (13) and the BBC (18). Taking the top spot for the UK was travel company Expedia.
