Shoots has announced further expansion with the acquisition of Seymours Garden Centre in Cobham, Surrey for an undisclosed sum.
This will become the third centre in the chain when it is rebranded as Shoots Cobham.
The company, which acquired two centres in the last four years, plans to build on Seymours' existing offer, including plants and gardening, aquatics and home whilst, according to co-founder and managing director Piers Mummery, "improving the over all retail feel".
The centre also has a strong landscaping department, which Shoots plans to extend to its other centres in Washington and Stanmore.
The forward-thinking retailer has ongoing plans for expansion and has been keeping its eye out for suitable sites.
When asked why he and co-founder and sales and marketing director Jamie Malcolm chose Seymours, Mr Mummery explained: "The demographics attracted us and the fact that the centre fits well with our existing sites. We also love the heritage of Seymours and the over all feel of the centre."
Although Shoots has big plans for its latest addition, Mr Mummery stressed it will be business as usual while any changes are implemented.
A makeover and new menu for the restaurant is in the pipeline and new directional signage around the centre will extend the Shoots brand.
