Shortlist announced for the Let's Colour Awards
Published: 17 December 2013
Dulux has announced the shortlist for its Let's Colour Awards 2014, including a fireworks display, a fashion designer and a unique art collection in London.
The Awards, which are back for a second year, celebrate the most innovative uses of colour across Britain's creative industries and events. Among the nominees are London's New Year's Eve fireworks spectacle, of-the-moment fashion designer Sophia Webster and Art on the Underground, a collection of art launched by the London Underground to mark its 150th anniversary.
Nominees span a breadth of industries and fields, with the seven categories including homes and interiors, technology and design, fashion, beauty and the arts. Awards include the 'Colour Ambassador' and 'Contribution to Colour'.
Following its first year Awards, which saw some big brands and events picking up the trophies, Dulux said the 2014 Awards are set to be even bigger and better.
Dulux creative director and head judge, Marianne Shillingford, said: "Colour has the unique ability to transform, uplift and inspire us all, but it is often overlooked and taken for granted. So in a year that's really pushed the boundaries of how we see and engage with colour, we're excited to be back once again rewarding the people and brands who use this powerful tool at its very best."
In addition, the 'Colour Moment of the Year' category is being opened for public voting for the first time; this highlights one particular moment which has championed bold and original use of colour in the past year. Voting and all the information about the Awards is on Dulux's special Awards website and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in March.
