Sir Terence Conran to speak at 2009 conference
Published: 14 October 2008
Following the success of the inaugural Housewares Conference last year, the 2009 event is continuing to gather support.
The British Home Enhancement Trade Association and The Cookshop & Housewares Association have both given their backing to the conference, and have now been joined by cookshop and kitchenware chains Lakeland, Steamer Trading and Kitchen Kapers.
Kitchen Kapers joint owner Gary Gordon has also confirmed that he will return next year as conference facilitator.
Conference organisers HousewaresLive.net and Housewares Magazine have also revealed that retail and design guru Sir Terence Conran will be amongst speakers at the event. And Harrods home director David Miller has joined the speaker line-up too.
They will also include Bruce Crane, who will share his insight into the housewares market from both the supplier and retailer sides of the market, as ICTC managing director and owner and managing director of Norwich cookshop Loose's.
The Housewares Conference 2009 takes place April 1 at One Whitehall Place in London. The all-industry event promises independent and multiple housewares retailers and suppliers a packed day of inspirational sessions tailor-made for their businesses.
