Solus enhances garden tool brands

Solus Garden & Leisure has invested in major improvements to its Yeoman and Joseph Bentley garden tool brands for the 2014 season.
The changes encompass product sourcing, design, manufacturing, packaging and point of sale.
For the Yeoman brand, Solus has made supply chain improvements to create greater product consistency and quality, along with a more attractive looking product, featuring natural wooden handles with laser-etched branding.
A higher specification includes bigger tread edges on spades and extra gloss on carbon steel heads for better ground penetration.
Joseph Bentley's stainless steel range now has the words 'Joseph Bentley since 1895' stamped or laser-etched onto the product. Spades, forks and the edging iron are manufactured to be stronger; packaging for the stainless steel range has been updated; and leather ties have replaced plastic cable ties to attach the product labels to the wooden handles.
