Somerset tools shop doubles sales target in first year
Published: 3 November 2014
Somerset shop IM Tools marks exactly one year of trading today, and business has been so good that expansion to bigger premises is now on the cards.
Ian Everett-Giles
opened his power tools store in Burnham-on-Sea on November 3 last year, and he told diyweek.net that the 12 months had "flown by. At the beginning it was quietish while I was building up my clientele, but I'm getting more and more regulars in and people from further afield now, probably a 30-mile radius, and they're recommending me to their friends as well."
He said sales had been "way above what I anticipated, I'd say double. When I started out I put certain stuff in that I knew would sell but I've now outgrown the main shop. The stock's easily doubled by people saying, can you get this in, and all the profit I make goes straight back into the business."
