Somerset tools shop doubles sales target in first year
Ian Everett-Giles opened his power tools store in Burnham-on-Sea on November 3 last year, and he told diyweek.net that the 12 months had "flown by. At the beginning it was quietish while I was building up my clientele, but I'm getting more and more regulars in and people from further afield now, probably a 30-mile radius, and they're recommending me to their friends as well."

He said sales had been "way above what I anticipated, I'd say double. When I started out I put certain stuff in that I knew would sell but I've now outgrown the main shop.
