Squire's Garden Centres is celebrating a Silver Gilt win at this week's RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, which opened yesterday and runs until Sunday.
The Urban Oasis garden is inspired by the aspirations of Squire's customers. A formal green backdrop around the garden's perimeter is the perfect foil for the colourful planting scheme, which includes wild flowers and so brings a hint of the countryside into the garden.
The planting is soft and colourful, helping to create a tranquil retreat from suburban life. Wildlife is significant in this garden, and the brook offers a nod to the River Thames.
Squire's says the garden reflects the company's ethos, which is to provide local people with really good quality plants that will do well for them in their own gardens - providing a look that is interesting, beautiful and achievable.
The garden was designed by Ian Hammond and built by Mark Charles.
Squire's has been a part of every RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show since the show's launch 25 years ago.
Also winning Silver Gilt is Jacksons Fencing, with its Secret Garden Party garden. Six small gardens are placed together within one large space. Each individual garden has its own look, feel and style, yet there is a unified and complementary look and feel.
Each of the gardens incorporates Jacksons Fencing products in an inconspicuous way.
Secret Garden Party was designed by Jon Sims and built by Sandstone Design.
