Squires to buy Shoots Garden Centres

Published: 3 May 2011
Family-run garden centre chain acquires Shoots for undisclosed sum.
While an official statement is yet to be released, both Shoots co-founder Piers Mummery and Squires' HR and Marketing director Sarah Squire have confirmed that the acquisition is taking place.

Shoots, which was founded by Piers Mummery and Jamie Malcolm in 2004, operates centres in Cobham, Surrey, Washington, West Sussex and Stanmore, Middlesex.

The acquisition will take Squires' total number of centres to 14 in the South East.
