Essential reading for retailers and suppliers in the home improvement market

Stanley Black & Decker joins BHETA

Published: 31 October 2016 - Jenny Wonnacott

World-leading tools and storage supplier Stanley Black & Decker has joined the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA).

With its UK head office in Slough, Stanley Black & Decker  dominates the UK market with its number of brands, many being among the most famous consumer-facing names in the sector. The inventor of the first portable electric drill and the iconic Black & Decker Workmate, it also brought the world’s first cordless drill and cordless hedge trimmer to market.

Said the brand's general manager for UK and ROI Mark Smiley, "Our mission has always been to provide tools and solutions that make life easier and the home enhancement sector is strategically very important.  With the networking opportunities and guest speaker forums which BHETA offers, I am sure joining the association will be a great move.”

BHETA’s DIY sector director Paul Grinsell commented, “This is terrific news.  Stanley Black & Decker is a world-class company thanks to its long history of product innovation, technological excellence and bold global approach.  It will be great to welcome Mark’s team to BHETA events and the Stanley Black + Decker name can only be good for our credibility as we continue to build our relationships with retailers.”
