With the start of the new English Premier League season edging closer, Stanley has announced that it will again play host to a fantasy football tournament, running for the duration of the 2013-2014 season.
Launching with a dedicated micro-site, http://stanleyfantasyfootball.co.uk, the Stanley Fantasy Premier League tournament is open to all fans of the official Stanley Facebook page. Using a budget of £60m, participants will select a team of 11 EPL players, consisting of a goalkeeper, four defenders, four midfielders and two strikers.

Forty transfers are available during the season, and team points will be updated in real time while matches are in progress, with points awarded for goals, clean sheets, appearances and a host of other criteria. There is also the option to create a Mini-League, only open to specific members.

The winner at the end of the season will take home £1,000 in cash and £200-worth of Stanley tools. A regular Manager of the Month will also be chosen throughout the campaign, each receiving £100 and £200-worth of Stanley tools.

Last year's game had almost 1,000 participants.
