Stanley sells to Bosch

Published: 13 June 2008
Stanley announced this week that it had agreed to sell its laser levelling and measuring business to Bosch for a consideration of $205m.
The deal will see the CST/berger business, which has revenues of around $80m, transfer to Bosch's control over the next few months.

The division operates primarily in the North American construction-related markets and its sale represents part of a repositioning for parent company Stanley Works said ceo John Lundgren:

"These transactions are important steps toward advancing our growth strategy and repositioning the company to be less dependent on construction and DIY markets."
