Stax Trade Centres has appointed three dedicated staff members to its sales support team: Terry Murphy, John Bennie and Paul Conway.
Mr Murphy is a Solus stalwart and highly experienced garden centre key accounts manager with experience at a number of garden businesses including Town & Country and Solus. He joins Stax as key accounts manager to look after accounts including Choice and Dobbies as well as develop new business.
Said Stax joint MD David Hibbert: " Terry is hugely respected in our industry, so we’re delighted that he’s joining the team at Stax. We arguably have the most knowledgeable team of reps in the industry, which is great news for our customers who can look to Stax for additional business support beyond the realms of everything else we already provide.”
Mr Murphy is joined by John Bennie and Paul Conway, who together add another 60+ years of experience to the now 20-strong sales team. Mr Bennie joins as area sales manager supporting Stax's retail sector customers as well as managing the council contracts in central Scotland. His previous employers include Saint Gobain, Sika and Toolcom Engineering Supplies.
Mr Conway recently moved from Decco to Stax as sales executive, and will be supporting retailers across the north west of England.
Mr Hibbert continued: "We’ll continue to invest in the garden supply business well into 2017 to further assist our customers. We’ve got plans to expand our delivery fleet for faster deliveries, added investment in our own brands and new ranges, and there are also plans to make widespread improvements to our website.”
