Following record results for the wholesale business, Stax has seen an impressive uptake of its new website service, bringing it closer to its target of 500 retail members by the end of the year.
"In the first few weeks, we had 100 retailers register," Stax joint md David Hibbert said of the online service, which sees Stax partner with e-commerce specialist EKM Powershop.
Mr Hibbert adds: "Since the launch at the start of April, we now have 200 members. The service goes live in July and we have a target for 500 members by the end of the year. We're really pleased with how it's going."
So popular is the new service among Stax customers, some retailers are even considering abandoning their existing website, explains Mr Hibbert. "One retailer I spoke to told me he spent thousands of pounds on his website and they're now ditching it for ours. They are moving their domain name over, their SEO and everything. "
The roll continues for Stax who, just last month
reported a record £2m uplift in sales for March, mopping up extra gardening business in the wake of the breakdown of the sale of Solus to Scotts.
