DIY Week is calling on all suppliers to nominate their customers for Britain's Best Retailer Awards 2010.
You know the stars in your sector, you know who's doing a great job in a tough climate, and you know who's making the most of your products. We want you to tell us.
Nomination couldn't be simpler. Just email the name and contact details of the retailers you think we should be considering to the editor at
will.parsons@fav-house.com along with the award you think they should be considered for. These are Britain's Best: Hardware, Tool, Security, Garden, Décor or Multiple Housewares retailer, DIY Superstore Manager of the Year, Britain's Best Cookshop and Britain's Best Independent Department Store.
We will then contact those retailers to let them know they've been nominated and to make sure they are entered for this year's judging. We're very happy to let them know who nominated them or to keep it to ourselves if you'd prefer.
DIY Week publisher Colin Petty said: "Over the years, suppliers across the market have been enormously supportive in putting forward the names of star retailers for Britain's Best Retailer Awards. We always welcome input from suppliers and this year would encourage them to nominate any of their customers they think should be in the running for a 2010 award."
And retailers - don't be shy about coming forward. Entry forms can be downloaded
here. Or, if you'd like us to send a hard copy out to you just email us or call us on 020 8651 7056 and we'll make sure one's sent out to you asap.
The deadline for entries is September 6, after which an independent panel of judges will meet to decide the winners in each category.
The Awards will then be announced at a black-tie gala dinner at Manchester's Deansgate Hilton on November 11.
