Take a leap and show your support for RDT

Published: 20 June 2013
Fancy flinging yourself out of an aeroplane to help raise funds for the dedicated industry charity? If so, the Rainy Day Trust is recruiting volunteers for its annual parachute jump in September.
Take a leap and show your support for RDT
The sponsored jump will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the British Army Parachute Association training centre at Netheravon, Wiltshire - right in the middle of the MOD's training facilities on Salisbury Plain.

Industry volunteers will jump - with a qualified instructor - from around 14,000 ft, starting their descent with a 50-second, 120 mph freefall before the tandem parachute is deployed. This is then followed by a five-minute canopy ride. Organisers and previous jumpers describe it as an exhilarating, not-to-be-missed, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This will be the third time the Rainy Day Trust has held the event, which has raised almost £28,000 over the last two years.

For more details please contact Michael Dark at MDA on 07973 829184 or mda.mail@virgin.net, or RDT general secretary Diane Stevens at diane@rainydaytrust.org.uk or 0121 237 1130.
