Taps expands into Yorkshire

Taps plumbers merchants has expanded out of the North East for the first time after opening a new branch in Yorkshire.
The company has opened at York's Yorvale Business Park, taking over a warehouse, trade counter and bathroom showroom, which will serve both the trade and the public.

The move takes the total number of branches to eight and has created five jobs.

Managing director Anne Ganley said: "It has always been a great ambition of mine to expand into Yorkshire. To finally be able to open our first Yorkshire branch in York is a great honour and I am extremely proud that Taps can now be associated with York's rich history."

Taps is a sister company of Thompson Building Centres and has branches in Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham, South Shields and now York.
