Aspiring Olympic athletes have a good start to the year

Steve Scott, who is currently ranked number one in the UK in the field of trap shooting, had a great start to the 2008 Grand Prix season in Cyprus. He finished fourth in the individual double trap and won gold in the team event. Steve is currently in Beijing for a World Cup event.
Craig Gibbons achieved two personal bests at the British Swimming Championships in Sheffield this month with a time of 22.75 seconds in the 50m freestyle and 49.66 seconds in the 100m freestyle. Unfortunately, despite this, Craig narrowly missed out on selection to Team GB for the Beijing Summer Olympics.
World Champion Diver Blake Aldridge attended a presentation evening at Toynbee School in Southampton. He gave an inspirational speech about achieving goals and personal bests within the world of diving. Later on this month, Blake will compete in the World Diving Series in Mexico.
