South Lanarkshire Council has approved the plans for the huge new development at Peel Park, East Kilbride, which will create more than 400 jobs.

The project will bring together a Tesco superstore and a Dobbies garden centre incorporating a restaurant and cafe. There will also be a farm food hall, polytunnels and outside sales and display areas, plus a petrol station and parking for almost 1,000 cars.

The two stores will be joined by a central atrium entrance foyer housing the garden centre restaurant.
