The Garden Store Group has taken over the Burford Garden Company's 10-hectare garden centre located at Burford House in Tenbury, Wiltshire.
The deal, handled by Gilbert Evans, brings the Garden Store Group's portfolio of stores to eight. Other sites include Billing in Northampton, Charlecote in Warwick, Elton Hall in Cambridgeshire, Newton Regis in Tamworth, Pavilion in Wolverhampton, Studley Green in High Wycombe and Whilton Locks in Daventry.
Burford Garden Company will retain the nursery's 'Treasures of Tenbury' name, while The Garden Store has renamed the centre the 'Burford House Garden Store' and negotiated a new lease with the landlord.
Gilbert Evans partner Mike Gilbert said of the sale: "This deal demonstrates the continuing demand for leasehold sites throughout the country".
In April last year, the Garden Store Group took over the Walled Garden Centre at Elton Hall, which was originally set up by Blooms of Bressingham in 1993.
The site features an "orangery-style" garden and gift shop, as well as a restaurant and extensive plant area.
