The Independent pushes 'The New Good Life'
A step in the right direction to get homeowners back tackling DIY tasks, the ten booklet series, titled 'The New Good Life' will be launched in The Independent newspaper this Saturday, April 25.

Inspired by British sitcom, 'The Good Life', the series, which is free with the newspaper, is designed to promote simple, self-reliant living - perfect for saving the pennies in a difficult economic climate.

Each day will see a new theme on a budget, ranging from 'Garden Basics' with grow your own tips, to 'Painting and decorating', and even 'Plumbing and wiring'.

Part 4, titled 'DIY basics: the absolute essential + drilling and screwing' aims to provide helpful information for budding DIY enthusiasts and is an adaptation from Collins First-time DIY.

This series is brilliant! Already looking forward to referring to Part 5 when painting this weekend...roll on next week's issue. At last a breath of fresh air when adapting to the credit crunch.
