Thieves steal £2,500 worth of goods from garden centre

Burglars escape with a horde of expensive gardening equipment in a weekend raid on Dobbies Garden World in Ponteland, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Police are appealing for information after thieves broke into Dobbies Garden World on Street House Farm, Ponteland between 5pm on Saturday, January 22 and 8am Sunday, January 23.
Around £2,500 worth of gardening equipment was taken in the raid, including a Ryobi electric blow vac, three Handy impact shredders, a Ryobi 26cc petrol hedge trimmer, three 26cc petrol-powered grass trimmers, four Karcher pressure washers, a Karcher 2900M pressure washer, 10 Flymo petrol-powered hedge trimmers, a Handy Eco Vac, four electric blow vacs and two Handy cordless grass trimmers.
Dobbies Ponteland general manager Grahame Darling said: “We’d appeal to anyone who has any information to contact Northumbria Police.”
