Millbrook, the Kent and Sussex-based garden centre company, is acquiring a third outlet.
The family-run, independent company runs garden centres in Crowborough, East Sussex, and Gravesend in Kent. Now, in a deal that is expected to go through on Friday, March 22, it will take over Highgrove Garden Centre at Marden in Kent.
The garden centre is currently owned by Homeleigh Building Supplies, which bought the site in 2003.
Millbrook managing director Tammy Woodhouse said: "We have been looking for a third site for some time to complement our existing centres. It presents us with a really good opportunity and we're looking forward to developing and moving Highgrove forwards."
The purchase, which was overseen by Gilbert Evans, will come with a Certificate of Lawful Planning Use that provides significant potential to increase turnover.
Trevor Jenkins, managing director at Homeleigh Building Supplies, described Millbrook as "a well-run business that shares our culture and ethics. We are confident this agreement secures an exciting future for our staff."
