Tillington chairman retires

Published: 22 March 2016
The Tillington group's chairman Harry McDermid has retired after 16 years at the helm of the garden centre buying group.
Tillington chairman retires
Mr McDermid was previously managing director and shareholder of Findlay Clark garden centres in Scotland before its purchase by Dobbies. It was at this point he took over Tillington as chairman.

The group recently held a dinner to mark Mr McDermid's retirement in Latimer, Bucks, where Mr McDermid was presented with a reminder of his time with the group by Richard Webb, a founder member.

He leaves the group in great shape, as demonstrated by its recent break through the £200m turnover barrier.
