Toolbank's Christmas campaign will be bigger and better this year, with a comprehensive tv advertising campaign to drive sales instore for Toolbank customers.
The ad campaign will concentrate on four products from the campaign, A Karcher 'Winter' pressure washer kit, Irwin Marples chisel set, Lighthouse Bolt rechargeable torch and an AEG 18v combi drill with case and 100 accessories.
Running on SKY Sports in the UK and on Setanta Sports in the Republic of Ireland, the tv ads will be supplemented with national press ads in the Daily Star, Daily Record and Irish Daily Star, consumer magazines such as Professional Builder and specialist publications including Good Woodworking and Classic Car Buyer.
New for the XMS 2011 promotion are two bespoke websites - realdealsforyou.com and realdealsforyou.ie, both of which will be featured in the advertising. These sites are designed specifically to direct interested consumers to their nearest participating stockist.
And, as an extra incentive to make the most of instore display, Toolbank is also running its Christmas display competition again. Once retailers have built their displays using the XMS 2011 promotional stock, they can submit photos to a dedicated email address realdeals@toolbank.com. A panel made up of representatives from DIY Week, sister title BMJ, the British Hardware Federation and NMBS (National Merchant Buying Society) will then judge all the entries to determine the winner.
All photos must be submitted by November 7th and prizes up for grabs include a 32inch LED TV, 10inch notebook, iPod Nano and an Amazon Kindle.
Retailers who want to take part in the festive promotion need to contact Toolbank to receive an information pack or arrange for a rep visit. A pack of POS material will be delivered with the order, along with 500 copies of the 12-page promotional leaflet to promote the deals to customers with. Extra leaflets are available and can be personalised with your store's details - the deadline for this is August 15th.
