Toolstation will, for the first time, offer boilers as part of its central heating offer

For the first time Toolstation has added boilers into its central heating range and will offer a complete range from Vokèra by Riello.

Toolstation will carry three different combi boilers and two system boilers, along with flue kits and accessories, available depending on the end user’s needs. The boilers are sold complete with a seven-year warranty and can be bought by anyone but need to be fitted by a qualified gas engineer, as a legal requirement.

Vokèra by Riello offers a comprehensive product range for domestic home heating and light commercial applications. Prices for Toolstation’s new range will start from £449.98 (inc. VAT) for the Vokera Compact A DIN Combi Boiler 25KW.

The range is complimented by a Vokèra BeSMART WiFi thermostat, which enables the resident control their heating via their smartphone or other devices.

Toolstation, part of the Travis Perkins (TP) Group, reported a 25% uplift in total sales in Q1, with growth "driven by network expansion and existing stores maturing," as well as extended ranges available to customers on a next-day basis. This follows a year of “exceptional growth” in 2018, with LFL sales up 11.4%.

In December 2018, TP Group announced the intention to divest its plumbing & heating division – which includes PTS and City Plumbing - during the course of 2019. It will, instead “prioritise investment in future growth opportunities, such as Toolstation”.

A total of 4,000 products were added to Toolstation’s offer in 2018, with a key focus on trade relevant ranges, with an extra 58 trade brands added, contributing more than £25million of additional sales.

B&Q bob

The law says it has to be fitted by a qualified engineer. But if you sell to just anyone unscrupulous unqualified people will buy and fit them. That's why BQ stopped selling them on the shopfloor.
