Top level management changes at Focus

Focus DIY has made a number of management changes as part of the latest phase of its strategic development.
Group ceo Bill Grimsey will continue in his role, supported by Rob Gladwin who steps up to the new position of Focus DIY managing director. Mr Gladwin in turn will be supported by Peter Brigden who is newly-appointed as retail director.
He will join the business on January 1, 2010. Mr Brigden has previously held positions at Asda and Wyvevale and will be responsible for retail operations, supply chain and logistics and central operations services.
Mark Footman, divisional director – supply chain and logistics, will take up the new appointment of development director, also reporting into new md Rob Gladwin. He will be responsible for retail space, looking after property, merchandising, store design, layout and equipment.
Group ceo Bill Grimsey said: "As we enter a new phase of our development with the roll-out of our new Genesis format to the wider estate and our plans for smaller convenience stores in market towns and urban in fill areas, I am delighted to welcome Peter Brigden as retail director supporting Rob Gladwin in his new position of managing director, along with the appointment of mark footman as development director. These new appointments further strengthen the board of directors and I look forward to working closely with my new team."
