Topps Tiles has unveiled a new-format store that combines elements of its original large outlets and its growing chain of high street boutique stores.
The tile specialist says the 2,500 sq ft Knutsford shop will offer shoppers greater convenience and an inspirational shopping experience combined with expert know-how.
The offer comprises Topps Tiles' most popular collections of wall and floor tiles in ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass and mosaic as well as solid, engineered, laminate and vinyl floorings.
Customers can also find wetroom and underfloor heating products along with tools, adhesives, grouts, accessories and cleaning products.
The store also provides technology in the form of iPads, on which Topps' specialist tile visualiser is installed. Customers can use the iPads to get style inspiration tailored to their exact needs.
Operations manager Graham Vance said: "Our new-format store combines the best of both Topps Tiles' high street and larger format stores, giving customers a convenient place to browse inspiring collections and experience exceptional levels of customer service.
"With a new contemporary grey exterior and tiling collections which are regularly updated to reflect the latest trends, this store will focus on giving the customer a more modern and intimate shopping experience."
The latest store is part of the company's on-going store expansion and aim to make its products more accessible to home improvement enthusiasts and trade professionals alike.
Topps currently has some 340 stores and has always said it wants to grow to around 400. Commercial director Brian Linnington told this year's DIY Retail Leaders - out with DIY Week this Friday - that "we still have a huge potential to grow the number of core stores" and that the company would be launching another six of its boutique stores in the next few months "and will do many more, but we haven't set ourselves a goal".
The new Knutsford store will open seven days a week, with a late night on Thursdays until 7pm.
